The IQ Cult

Perhaps you have seen the IQ map:

There are a few going around - none of them accurate or meaningful when it comes to small populations (like a sample of 1).

"In our 2010 study, we not only found a very strong relationship between levels of infectious disease and IQ, but controlling for the effects of education, national wealth, temperature, and distance from sub-Saharan Africa, infectious disease emerged as the best predictor of the bunch. A recent study by Christopher Hassall and Thomas Sherratt repeated our analysis using more sophisticated statistical methods, and concluded that infectious disease may be the only really important predictor of average national IQ."

The above is a nurture argument (e.g. environment is a determiner). THIS is a nature argument - the claim that "race" is a factor.

The infamous sentence, found in the Guinness Book, from circa 1984 to 1989, reads:
“The highest childhood score has been achieved by Marilyn Mach vos Savant who as a 10-year-old achieved a ceiling score for 23-year-olds thus giving her an IQ of 228.”
The actual IQ she received on this test was 132.

"Keith Raniere’s devoted followers say he is one of the smartest and most ethical people alive. They describe him as a soft-spoken, humble genius who can diagnose societal ills with remarkable clarity. They say his teachings as an inspirational executive coach can empower some of the most successful people in the world to attain ever higher levels of status and money. Why, his program can even cure ailments like diabetes and scoliosis."

"What is intelligence? The definition I like is that intelligence is "the ability to learn or understand or to deal with new or trying situations ... also : the skilled use of reason." I have heard some people misuse the word smart to mean knowledgeable. That is like confusing velocity with distance. That one can lead to the other does not mean that they are the same thing."

In short, it is unlikely you or I will ever meet -as in over a hand shake- anyone with an IQ above 145. Even with an IQ of 91 (a HOAX), "W" fell into the normal range. He was above the cusp of 85 - mild retardation. Bush wasn't a retard, he is a republican (painted with the same broad stroke of a brush).

Besides, it not retarded politicians we should worry about in the United States, it's gullible voters (e.g. the GOP voting base).

Founding Father Thomas Jefferson understood how abusive Republicans could succeed, if only they kept the population unenlightened, or in street vernacular blind, dumb, and stupid. Jefferson said, “I know no safe depositary of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of power.”

A healthy baby - born of healthy stock - with correct nutrition and intellectual stimulation should have an IQ of about 140. Since it is rare for such an offspring to be born (nature) into an environment free of contaminants of ingestion - both nutritional and intellectual - the average IQ has been in decline since World War Two. Thus, warfare of any kind (including HATE TALK RADIO) is detrimental to the entire human species.
